Assistant Cook This Outdoor Education Centre is set in 11 magnificent acres of lawns and woodland, extending from the beautiful Edwardian house down to the eastern shore of Windermere. The site looks across the Lake to the high fells of the Lake District and has an enviable and easily accessible position.
A full time assistant cook is required to join a small and friendly team at this superbly located Outdoor Education Centre, situated on the shores of Lake Windermere. Duties include preparing, cooking and serving meals to residential groups, catering for buffet lunches, receiving and storing food deliveries and cleaning of the kitchen and other designated areas. You will work a fortnightly rota with every Thursday and alternate weekends off. We offer enhanced weekend and bank holiday pay and a mileage allowance.
Formal catering qualifications are not essential and a candidate with good basic cooking skills with the ability to prepare and serve from fresh,good wholesome foods for up to 50 residents on a daily basis and occaisional off site groups would be welcomed. |
